I achieved my initial training in Bharatnatyam Dance from the well-known Bharatnatyam Dancer and Indian National Scholarship holder Sri Rajdeep Banerjee. Later, I took training from Srimati Kirti Ramgopal in Bangalore. Prior to that, I trained under Guru Runu Biswas (late) and also at CTG Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh. I earned a 1st class in my B.A. course in Bharatnatyam in 2008 and successfully completed my M.A. in Bharatnatyam Dance from Rabindra Bharati University in 2010. Currently, I have been working as a Demonstrator at the "Dept. of Theater and Performing Studies," University of Dhaka since 2016. From 28th June 2020, I have been promoted to a Senior Demonstrator at the same Department.
Some of my major achievements include performing at the 'Khajuraho Dance Festival' 2017 (Khajuraho), 'Bengal Classical Music Festival' 2014 & 2017 (Dhaka), '28th Shantala Nritya Vaibhava' 2016 (Bangalore), 'Uday Shankar Dance Festival' 2008, 'Stars of Tomorrow' 2009 (Kolkata) in Prangon Mancha at Rabindra Sadan. Besides this, I had the honor of performing Bharatnatyam at Delhi IIC center, organized by “SHADHONA,” one of the leading cultural institutions of Bangladesh and South Asia. I was also privileged to perform at the Inaugural Conference of Music Education Alliance Across the 'Silk Road" in Beijing, China. I received a Government order(GO) to visit Bhutan(2014) as a part of a cultural delegation participating in the occasion of Bangladesh's 44th Independence Day and France(2021) in the joint celebration of Bangladesh-India Friendship Day from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Bangladesh. I was selected by GOETHE INSTITUTE Dhaka to experience performance as a delegate at TANZ PLATTFORM (27.2-2.3.2014) in KAMPNAGEL, HAMBURG. I had the invaluable experience of working with leading choreographers like Donald Bard (USA), Bimbavati Devi (Kolkata), Dr. Urmimala Sarkar (Delhi), and many others. I proudly hold the title of “SRINGAR MONI” at the 49th KALKI KALAKAR FESTIVAL in Mumbai. Recently (2020), I had the privilege of working on "Father: Vision of the Floating World," choreographed by the world's best Dance Choreographer Akram Khan.
In January 2012, I choreographed Tagore’s ‘Mayar Khela’ and later ‘Fireflies,’ which were performed at the Nrityakatha Dance Festival in Delhi and received much critical appreciation from dance critics there. My choreographed contemporary production “Shohor Periye” was selected and performed at the World Dance Alliance Annual Conference-2018,Taiwan.
